The Lord Is My Inheritance
Wimmer Wednesday
“I hope that in the future I will not lose the courage and confidence that have never left me and in times of difficulty have even become greater. Dominus pars hereditatis mei et calicis mei [the Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup], which when I am given it to drink will most probably be quite bitter. I have not merited anything better. May God, through the merits of His Son, be willing to forgive me for all those things I meant to do well but did badly. Most of all, may He forgive me the evil that I have deliberately willed or done.”
