Do Not Neglect The Rule
Wimmer Wednesday. Of course, there is danger that our missionary fathers, while they are preaching to others, may themselves neglect the Rule. To avoid this, I always send them in pairs to their mission stations, and in another year, I hope to send a third priest to each station. One must always be on guard lest the discipline of the Rule be neglected. The clausura, strict poverty, common recitation of the Divine Office (if they are at home), meditation, lectio divina, frequent confession, etc. have been firmly established and are faithfully practiced.
