My Shield Is My Jesus

Wimmer Wednesday

“A bad chair is usually my bed, on which I sleep sitting up. Sun and moon are my road guides in the beautiful oak forests. My shield is my Jesus, whom I always have near me. I also carry everything I need to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Thus, my horse is a wandering chapel. I remain healthy and have never yet encountered any serious misfortune. I always ride in my habit.”
